Feasibility Studies in the UAE
A feasibility study answers one question before capital is committed: will this work, and on what terms? It tests the market, the operating model, the regulatory route and the financials of a proposed venture, expansion, new location or product, and it produces the numbers a bank, investor, free zone authority or board will ask for.
Reflechir prepares feasibility studies for UAE start-ups and established businesses, from a single-outlet F&B concept to a manufacturing facility or a new business line, with the financial model built to the standard lenders and investors in the UAE expect.
What the study examines
- Market feasibility: demand, customer segments, competitors, pricing and the realistic share the venture can win, using UAE market data and primary research where needed.
- Technical and operational feasibility: location, premises, equipment, staffing, supply chain and the operating processes required, with the capital and running costs of each.
- Regulatory and licensing route: the licence type, jurisdiction (mainland or free zone), approvals and timelines that apply, and their cost and constraints on the business model.
- Financial feasibility: a full financial model with revenue build-up, cost structure, capital expenditure, working capital, financing, tax, cash flow, break-even, payback, NPV and IRR, with sensitivity and scenario analysis.
- Risks and mitigations: the assumptions the outcome depends on most, what happens if they are wrong, and what can be done about it.
- Recommendation: a clear go, no-go or go-with-changes conclusion, and the conditions under which the venture makes sense.
What you receive
- Feasibility report: a structured document covering each strand of the analysis, written for owners, boards and lenders.
- Financial model: an editable spreadsheet with clearly separated assumptions, so it can be updated as the plan evolves and reused for the business plan and bank application.
- Funding requirement: how much capital is needed, when, and in what mix of equity and debt.
- Executive summary and presentation: a short version for investors, banks and partners.
How the engagement works
Reflechir agrees the scope of the study and the depth of market research required, gathers the information from you and from market sources, builds the model, and reviews the draft findings with you before finalising. Fees are fixed according to scope; a study for a single new outlet is typically completed in three to four weeks, a larger project in six to eight. Where the venture proceeds, the model becomes the basis for the budget, the bank facility application and the first year’s management reporting.
Why Reflechir
- Honest findings: the study is independent of whether the venture goes ahead, so a no-go conclusion is delivered as clearly as a go.
- Bank-ready modelling: models built to the standard UAE lenders expect, by accountants who present them to banks regularly.
- Set-up and compliance in the same firm: licensing, tax registration and accounting are handled by the same team once the venture is approved.
